Film cassette

Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the ability of a film spool for pushing out a leader part from a film cassette by providing a film cassette with an engagement means rotatably attached to a spool core so that the spool core is rotated with respect to a flange. CONSTITUTION: The spool core 23 is rotated in a film unwinding direction so as to be engaged with at least one of the flanges 41 and 43, whereby the flanges 41 and 43 are integrally rotated with the core 23 when the core 23 is rotated further in the film unwinding direction. Besides, the engagement means 45 and 47 rotatably attached to the core 23 so that they can be rotated first in a film winding direction with respect to the flanges 41 and 43 are provided, whereby the engagement of the core 23 with the flanges 41 and 43 is released so that he flanges 41 and 43 are independently rotated of the core 23 when the core 23 is rotated further in the film winding direction in order to substantially guarantee the winding action of the leader part in the peripheral skirt parts of the flanges 41 and 43. Thus, the leader part from the film cassette 1 is automatically pushed out to the outside of a cassette shell. COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
